Selection Process
- Written Exam (Objective Type) – Single paper, 150 questions, 3 hours, 300 marks.
- Written Exam Pattern: Part I – General Knowledge (50 questions, 100 marks); Part II – Law (100 questions, 200 marks).
- Interview – 30 marks.
- Final merit based on combined marks (330 total). Minimum qualifying marks: 33% for Unreserved and 23% for reserved categories in written exam.
- Negative marking applies: one third mark penalty for wrong answers. Exam may be conducted as CBT depending on applicant count.

Post carries Pay Matrix Level-9 with pay scale Rs. 38,100 – Rs. 1,20,400 plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances as notified by the State Government.
